Jurassic Park is a 1993 American science fiction thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg (the guy who also created E.T. that movie itself gain him popularity, literary).

This was based on the novel of the same name by Michael Crichton. Who knew that his book was going to be made into a movie? I would enjoy helping them by sticking to the book as much as possible because movie nowadays are getting put of control and barely put time and effort to make a fan happy.

The film centers on the fictional Isla Nublar near Costa Rica in the Central American Pacific Coast, where billionaire philanthropist John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) and a team of genetic scientists from his company InGen have created an amusement park of cloned dinosaurs.

Before Crichton's book was even published, studios such as Warner Bros., Columbia TriStar, 20th Century Fox, and Universal had already begun bidding to acquire the picture rights. Spielberg, with the backing of Universal Studios, acquired the rights to the novel before its publication in 1990, and Crichton himself was hired by Universal Studios for an additional $500,000 to adapt the novel into a proper screenplay. David Koepp wrote the final draft, which left out much of the novel's exposition and violence, and made numerous changes to the characters.

Jurassic Park is regarded as a landmark in the use of computer-generated imagery, and received positive reviews from critics, who praised the effects, though reactions to other elements of the picture, such as character development, were mixed. During its release, the film grossed more than $914 million worldwide, becoming the most successful film released up to that time.

Now lets talk about what I thought about this movie

At first glance, when seeing science had discovered that they can clone dinosaur makes me thinks about they are playing god, humans man. The characters in this movie are actually good and they do not make me want to smack on thier decisions they make. The good part about this is that the dinosaurs do not overpower the humans, which is a step in the right direction (but why did the movies get worse from there, literary). The CGI dinosaur do not look at the place, it looks really good and it still holds up to this day an I love it!

Nostalgic:
I got to admit I was not looking forward into this movie since I thought it was going to be the old formula of "oh look, a dinosaur that is going to eat humans", luckily I was wrong and it turned out to be a good movie.
I was cheering for both sides most of the time, but I mainly was rooting for the humans that were escaping the island, that is how good the characters are, I do not want them to die, literally.

Overall
This is a good movie, I would recommend this movie to anyone. The only beef I had with this is that it hints a sequel that is not needed. Up to this day I am still mad that they were sequels. Still, watch it!

9/10
