Guilty Gear Special part 2 (Look at the previous post, it will explain)

I forgot to mention the amount of characters they are in the game. There is a total of 25 characters and after doing some reaserch, all of these 25 characters have references! For now, I will only pick 4, why? because some of these references are from Japan and people might not know about them

Faust: It turns out that Faust is the first one who references another topic other than music. It turns out that this doctor (in the game, yes, he is a doctor) gives out comic/manga references (sadly, I cannot find information about this, but I will update this section after I play the game and see what I can find).  There's also an ambient sounding German "rock" group called Faust that makes use of spliced sounds in their music.

Slayer: Slayer references a band call slayer that came out in the 80's. They were one of the many bands of being accused of being Satanic over the course of their career. He has three attacks called
"It's Late", "Under Pressure", "Dead on Time", and "All Dead".

"It's Late", and "All Dead All Dead" are Queen songs that were on the album, 'News Of The World', released 1977.
"Under Pressure" was a song Produced by both Queen and David Bowie.
"Dead on Time" is a song on Queen's album, "Jazz", released in 1978

Testament: One of the more blatant references in the game, our little mopey goth is named for "Testament", a thrash metal group founded by Derek Ramirez, Louie Clemente  Greg Christian , and Eric Peterson  that came out around 1983. They originally called themselves "Legacy", but two years later renamed themselves "Testament".

Bridget: Bridget has an attack called "Kickstart My Heart". This was a Motley Crue song released in 1989 in the album, "Dr. Feelgood".

there is not much about this particular character. I know another reference, but I will spare the many people and keep this one  up to the viewers if they want to reserach this character.

Nostalgic: This game is by far the best fighting game I have ever played. This is the first game that intoduce a new type of fighting that does not invlove who has a better combo and repeat. In this game, a person needs to experience all the moves this game have because most moves can be connected in mid-air (not a marvel vs capcom clone, this one is way different). As the video up above showed, it feels as if the fighting is more free and you can play offensively and defense, whatever fits your boat.

History: look above, yeah that was the history

Overall: This game is an epic music 2-D fighting game. I will recommend it to anyone, but if you are the kind of person who hates to learn how to let your fingers go and learn a particular beat on the figthing, then look somewhere else. The only thing that sucks about this game is some characters needs some balancing (ahem, Justice), this game is overall good and enjoyable.

Rating: 9.5/10
remember...

Anime fighters are Awesome.
